EXHIBITION & PRIZE GIVING

The winners of the 'Love Your Canal' postcard competition were announced at a tea party on Saturday afternoon. The judges, Ted Cullinan, Peter Murray (NLA, LFA and Wordsearch) and Mark Davy (Futurecity) were very impressed with the creative and inspiring ideas entered into the competition and were pleased to announce the winners as follows:

  • Adult Winner - Adam and Laura of Rotherfield Street
  • Adult Runner-up - Grainne Keane of Bevan Street
  • Secondary School Winner - Milo Ritchie of The Bridge Academy
  • Secondary School Runner-up - Billie Briggs of The Bridge Academy
  • Primary School Winner - Lydia of Lauriston Primary School
  • Primary School Runner-up - Rocco of Lauriston Primary School

Love Your Canal was an open competition for schools and people who live or work locally along the canal to design on a postcard an inspiring idea to improve an underused everyday space along the canal.
