John Romer initially trained as an engineer and worked for a large civil engineering contractor and in a number of design offices before joining the practice in 1987.
On qualifying as an architect he worked in a number of architectural practices and taught in Schools of Architecture including the Bartlett and South Bank University. He has been project architect on the design and construction of a wide range of buildings including the University of East London and the Greenwich Millennium School and Health Centre.
John recently led the project teams for two BSF (Building Schools for the Future) schools in Newham, and is currently Project Director for a BSF academy in Birmingham, which is due for completion in September. In 2010 he saw through to completion a new Gatehouse for a Torriano Junior School.
