Johnny Winter is a senior director of Edward Cullinan Architects, which he joined in 1988.

In 1985 after leaving The Polytechnic of Central London architecture school, he helped to set up 'Tower 151 Architects', which grew into an association of architects involved in urban design.

Since joining the practice he has helped design and construct the headquarters building for RMC, commercial offices at Bedfont Lakes and Ludgate Hill, designed a new Masterplan for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte USA and the masterplan for the sustainable expansion of the Chinese University of Hong Kong's. He was project director on the Centre for Mathematical Sciences at Cambridge University and for the new Library & IT Centre at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.

Johnny was Project Director for the completed mixed-use residential-led development on Clink Street, in London and is currently leading the team for another development on the adjacent site.

Johnny is currently Project Director of a new Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle. In 2010 he completed a 100 mile bike ride and in 2011 took part in the Maggie's London Night Hike to raise funds for the charity.
