Scott Jenkins joined Edward Cullinan Architects in March 2010 after graduating from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow. His final year thesis explored the impact of the 2014 Commonwealth Games on Glasgow's East End. He also studied for a year at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, under the tuition of Professor Wiel Arets. The group project focussed on new tower typologies at Berlin's central square Alexanderplatz, as a reaction to the staid office developments which are currently proposed. Scott's high rise promatorium created a place where the departed of Berlin were frozen and composted to create greenhouse mausoleums towering above the city.
After completing his Diploma, Scott worked in Glasgow with Collective Architecture, a practice specialising in social housing and urban regeneration. He was heavily involved in the construction of social housing projects in Anderston and Bellshill, which he worked on from site start to practical completion. He also took an active role in design work and competitions. He has also worked at John McAslan + Partners within their commercial and mixed-use team on projects in London and Doha.
Since joining Cullinans, Scott has primarily worked on the final residential building in our Bristol Harbourside Masterplan and on our Baldwin Terrace office redevelopment. He has a keen interest in sustainable building techniques and especially enjoys seeing project take shape on site.
