PROJECT: Stonebridge Hillside Hub

LOCATION: London

DATE: 2005 - 2009

The Stonebridge Hillside Hub has a pivotal role in the emerging masterplan for the Stonebridge Estate in west London. It is a mixed use building, where the careful juxtaposition of uses means that each benefits from exposure to the others.

Two 'wings', one accommodating a Primary Care Trust and the other a retail unit, are fused together by a central community facility. Each wing is topped with mixed tenure residential units clad in larch timber. On the south side of the development an open civic space is cradled between the wings providing a generous public entrance court to what is a significant and welcoming civic building.

The Hillside Hub won the Mail on Sunday British Homes Award for Mixed-use Regeneration Development of the Year 2009.
